COMMUNITY NURSING EXPERT LECTURE “Handling Major Problems of Public Health During Pandemic” (Efforts to Overcome Major Public Health Problems during the Pandemic)

D3 Nursing Study Program STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta in April, namely
April 19 to April 25 2021, carried out Community Nursing Clinical Practice. One of the series of activities from the Community Nursing Clinical Practice is the Expert Lecture. The expert lecture was held as a supplement to practical learning material in community nursing clinics with the theme “Handling Major Problems of Public Health during the Pandemic (Efforts to Overcome Major Public Health Problems during the Pandemic)”.
Expert lecture was held on Thursday, April 22 2021 at 10.00 WIB and was attended by 179 semester VI student participants. This activity was carried out online using zoom meeting media. The resource person for this activity was Mr. Muhammad Daroji,
SKM.,MPH. He is the Head of the Gamping 2 Community Health Center, Yogyakarta.
At the expert lecture, the resource person delivered several outlines regarding the overview of the pandemic, the impact of the pandemic and risk mitigation as well as several other health problems that occurred during the Covid 19 pandemic. Covid or Corona Virus Disease is a group of new types of viruses that have the generic code belonging to SARS, namely SARS-Cov 2. SARS-Cov 2 is a zoonotic virus that circulates in animals such as camels, cats and bats. Animals with
coronavirus can develop and infect humans such as in the cases of MERS and SARS as well as
the current outbreak cases. In Sleman Regency, the population that has been confirmed for Covid is 12,330 people. The recovery rate (Recovery Rate) in DIY Province is 80.05%, in Sleman Regency it is 90.22% and Gamping 2 Community Health Center is 91.06%. Meanwhile, the Case Fatality Rate in DIY Province as much as 2.44%, Sleman Regency 2.73% and Gamping 2 Health Center as much as 4.47%. “Based on this, of course there are many impacts of problems that occur due to Covid-19,” said Mr. Muhammad Daroji. soul, social activities become

Based on the impact of these problems, efforts to handle Covid-19 in the community are 1). Regional, cross-sectoral approaches, coordination and technical guidance for sub-district task forces, coordination with community leaders, 2). Tracing-Tracking, monitoring self-isolation and self-quarantine,
Logistics assistance for families, 3). Assistance with environmental decontamination in confirmed cases, education and assistance with community activities and 4). Providing education and counseling for community groups, education with health promotion media (Flayers, posters, videos) via social media (Instagram, Facebook, Web, WhatsApp) especially regarding the 5M health protocols (masks, washing hands, keep your distance, avoid crowds, reduce mobility). “During Covid-19, many major health problems were discovered that occurred in the community, these health problems included DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever), Stunting and Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs),” said Mr. Muhammad Daroji.

The problem of DHF (Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever) has several impacts, namely the Potential for Extraordinary Events, decreased productivity and emerging economic and social problems. Mr. Muhammad Daroji said that the intervention carried out was using conventional and innovative methods. The conventional method involves draining and closing water reservoirs, monitoring mosquito breeding sites and reusing used goods. Meanwhile, the innovative method of fishization, the use of mosquito nets and the release of wolbachia-infected mosquitoes is a complementary innovation for controlling dengue hemorrhagic fever. The handling of dengue fever in the community is 1).

TTD for young girls and Caten counseling,” said Mr. Muhammad Daroji.
Problems of Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs). Mr. Muhammad Daroji said that
Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs) that often occur during Covid-19 are Hypertension and
Diabetes Mellitus. Diabetes mellitus sufferers are most often aged 56-65 years, namely
2.57%, while hypertension sufferers are most often experienced by those aged 56-65 years, namely
3.42%. So based on this, several treatments have been carried out within the community. These treatments include 1). Stakeholder Advocacy, Socialization
Innovation of SOPs for Implementing Posbindu during the Covid-19 Pandemic with Health Protocols
Covid-19, 2). Telemedicine Services, Media consultation, 3). Diabetes Mellitus group education
at Posbindu via KulWap Media (WhatsApp Lectures), 4). PHN visit for Diabetes
Mellitus.
