The Higher Education Quality Assurance System according to the Minister of Research, Technology and Higher Education Regulation concerning the Higher Education Quality Assurance System Number 62 of 2016 is a systemic activity to improve the quality of higher education in a planned and sustainable manner. Meanwhile, the definition of an internal quality assurance system, hereinafter abbreviated as SPMI, is a systemic activity of guaranteeing the quality of higher education by each university autonomously to control and improve the implementation of higher education in a planned and sustainable manner.
The internal quality assurance system at STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta, hereinafter referred to as the STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta Quality Assurance Institute (LPM STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta) is a part of the work unit within the STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta institution, which is responsible for quality assurance activities for higher education at STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta and implemented by STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta (internally driven), which aims to supervise the implementation of higher education by universities in a sustainable manner (continuous improvement). LPM-STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta is implemented and supervised independently by all work units/components at STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta and is directly responsible to the Chair of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta with the legal basis of the Quality Assurance Institute of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta with the Decree of the Chair of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta No. 089.A/SK.07.04/XII/2020.
STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta, started the establishment of internal quality assurance starting in 2012 with the form of the AKPER Notokusomo Quality Assurance Unit (UPM), then along with the change in the form of AKPER Notokusumo to STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta in 2019, accompanied by the change of the AKPER STATUTE to the STIKES STATUTE Notokusumo Yogyakarta, then UPM changed its name to Quality Assurance Institute (LPM) STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta in accordance with the Decree of the Chairman of STIKES No. 089.A/SK.07.04/XII/2020.
