Yogyakarta – The 36th Anniversary of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta held a peak event that took place lively at the campus auditorium. This celebration is not only a place for the academic community and alumni to come together, but also a momentum for reflection on the campus’s long journey in producing professional, skilled, intelligent, and ethical health workers
The peak event was attended by the Chairman of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta, Taukhit, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep., leaders, lecturers, education staff, students, and alumni from various generations. The presence of guests from campus partners added to the solemn atmosphere of this 36th anniversary celebration. In his remarks, the leadership of STIKES emphasized that the Anniversary is not just a ceremonial celebration, but a momentum to strengthen the campus’s commitment to becoming a superior health education institution. “For 36 years, STIKES Notokusumo has been committed to producing competitive health workers. In the future, we will steadily step towards becoming a superior health campus with a global perspective,” he said.
The series of peak events was even more meaningful with a Scientific Oration delivered by two STIKES Notokusumo lecturers. Linda Widyarani, S.Kep., Ns., M.Kep. from the Nursing Study Program presented the theme “Sudden Cardiac Arrest as a Challenge to Children’s Emergencies: The Urgency of Public Literacy and Strengthening the Chain of Survival.” In his oration, he emphasized the importance of public literacy so that people are able to act quickly in emergency situations, considering that permanent brain damage can occur in just 4-6 minutes. Meanwhile, apt. Trifonia Rosa Kurniasih, M.Biotech. from the Pharmacy Study Program delivered an oration entitled “Formulated Science, Perceived Benefits: Scientific Reflection on Pharmaceutical Technology Based on Natural Ingredients and Sustainability.” He highlighted global challenges in the development of pharmaceutical products based on natural ingredients, limited resources, and the importance of technological innovation to process natural materials and waste into products of use value.
In addition to academic activities, the peak event was also coupled with an Alumni Reunion entitled Kelana. Alumni from various generations are present to share experiences, strengthen networks, and provide inspiration for active students. A warm atmosphere full of togetherness was created when alumni reminisced about their college days, as well as seeing the development of the campus, which is now increasingly modern. Their presence is clear evidence of the contribution of STIKES Notokusumo graduates to society, as well as strengthening the identity of the campus as an institution that cares about alumni.
The peak event was enlivened by the handing over of Satyalancana Dharma Bakti appreciation (Primary, Intermediate, and Plenary) to employees who have been dedicated since the AKPER era until now, STIKES. In addition, the winners of the competition between the academic community were also announced, which included short video competitions, decorating tumpeng, the selection of Dimas Diajeng, and badminton tournaments.
The performance of art and entertainment also adds to the closeness, creating a momentum of togetherness that is not only entertaining but also strengthens the relationship between the academic community.
The commemoration of the 36th Anniversary is a reflection on the long journey of STIKES Notokusumo Yogyakarta in the world of health education. For more than three decades, this campus has produced thousands of health workers who are active in various fields. This momentum affirms the campus’s commitment to continue to innovate, strengthen academic quality, and collaborate with various parties for the advancement of health education in Indonesia.
